Local Elections and Alaska Real Estate: Interview with Nikki Rose
About Nikki Rose
Nikki Rose is a lifelong resident of West Anchorage, having been born and raised in Sand Lake. She has lived in West Anchorage for over 30 years, has seen the growth of that community and of Anchorage. Nikki attended college at the University of Alaska Anchorage and was a proud member of the internationally acclaimed Seawolf Speech and Debate team. Nikki is actively involved in her community, serving since January 2017 as Sand Lake Community Council President, serving on the Executive Board of the Federation of Community Councils, and serving on the Anchorage Assembly Committee on Homelessness. Nikki also invests her time in many nonprofits aimed at improving the lives Anchorage residents. Above all, Nikki's passion is for her family: her husband Michael, a lifelong Anchorage resident and local attorney, and their 5-year-old son.
A few contributing factors to Nikki deciding to run for Assembly are crime rates, issues with the homeless population and the development of our city being stifled because of crime.
